Privacy Policy

I. General Provisions
This Privacy Policy defines how personal data of Users necessary for the provision of electronic services through the websites www.ptec.org.pl and www.kongreskogeneracji.pl (hereinafter: the Websites) are collected, processed and stored. The Websites collect only personal data necessary for the provision and development of the services offered therein, including those related to the activities of the Polish Association of Heat Energy and the organisation of industry events, including the Cogeneration Congress. Personal data collected through the Websites are processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter: GDPR), and the Personal Data Protection Act of 10 May 2018.
II. Data Controller
The controller of personal data collected through the Websites is the POLISH ASSOCIATION OF HEAT ENERGY with its registered office in Warsaw, at ul. Nowogrodzka 11, 00-513 Warsaw, Poland, e-mail address: sekretariat@ptez.com.pl (hereinafter: the Controller).
III. Purpose of Collecting Personal Data
Personal data are used for the purpose of:
  • analysing traffic on www.ptec.org.pl and www.kongreskogeneracji.pl, in order to optimise the operation of the Websites and improve the online activities of the Polish Association of Heat Energy;
  • registration for participation in events organised by the Controller, including the Cogeneration Congress;
  • participation in events organised by the Controller that require prior registration and payment;
  • settling accounts for participation in paid events organised by the Controller;
  • communication with Users, including participants of events organised by the Controller;
  • promotion of content (expert, informational, educational) published on the Websites;
  • marketing, remarketing and affiliation;
  • analytical and statistical activities.
Providing data is voluntary, but necessary to use the functionalities of the Websites and to participate in events organised by the Controller that require registration.
IV. Types of Personal Data Processed
The Controller may process the following personal data of Users: name and surname, e-mail address, telephone number, company data, job position.
V. Period of Personal Data Processing
Users’ personal data will be processed for the following period:
  • where the legal basis for processing is consent – until it is withdrawn, and after withdrawal until claims become time-barred.
The limitation period is 6 years, and for claims for periodic performances and claims related to business activities – 3 years (unless a specific provision states otherwise).
VI. Sharing of Personal Data
Users’ personal data may be transferred to: entities associated with the Controller, its subcontractors, entities cooperating with the Controller, e.g. companies handling events organised by the Controller, companies providing postal services, law firms, and companies carrying out public relations activities on behalf of the Controller. Users’ personal data will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
VII. Users’ Rights
Users of the Websites have the right to: access the content of their personal data, rectify, erase or restrict the processing of their data, data portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time (which does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal). Requests to exercise any of the above rights should be sent to sekretariat@ptez.com.pl. The Controller shall fulfil or refuse to fulfil the request without undue delay – within a maximum of one month from receipt. Users have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if they consider that the processing infringes their rights and freedoms (GDPR).
VIII. Cookies
The Websites collect information using cookies – session, persistent and third-party cookies. The collection of cookies supports the correct provision of services on the Websites and serves statistical purposes. Users may determine the scope of cookie access to their device in their browser settings.
IX. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
Users’ data may not be processed in an automated manner in such a way that any decisions could be made against them as a result. Users’ data may be profiled for the purpose of tailoring content and personalising content proposals, provided that they have given their consent.
X. Final Provisions
The Controller reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy, provided that Users’ rights will not be restricted. Information about any changes will appear in the form of a notice available on the Websites. In matters not regulated by this Privacy Policy, the provisions of the GDPR and Polish law shall apply.
